Remembrance Sunday

Ends: November 11, 2018 at 12:00 pm

8am & 9:00am Holy Communion – simple said services in church (no sermon)

10:30am Wreath-laying
at the War Memorial

10:50am Civic Act of Remembrance and Choral Mattins A very popular service, please arrive in good time to be sure of a seat.

After the service: The Mayor will be inspecting the troops immediately following the Civic service. This will take place on Church Street (behind the church) this year, and members of the congregation are invited to attend. At 12.30pm the Ewell St Mary’s tower band will be ringing the church bells as part of the worldwide commemoration of the centenary. In 1918, the sound of our church bells was how most people in Ewell learned of the end of the war to end all wars.

5pm All-in all-age service, with craft, songs, activities. Followed at 6pm by Club Sandwich, our youth group for 7-11s.

All welcome to all our services. This centenary year there will also be a (shorter) family service “Called to Remember” at the URC church at 10:50am, in expectation of large numbers and to provide a variety of services in the Village.
