Sunday & Weekday Services

There are several services each Sunday, offering a variety of forms of worship. This page shows our usual monthly pattern, but if you are planning a visit please check the diary or phone ahead, as the pattern changes on special occasions.

Many of our services are traditional, accompanied by a fine organ and a robed choir. Others are much more informal, especially those aimed at children, such as Toddle Up! or our new All-in service. Everyone is welcome, whatever their religious background.

Our usual Sunday pattern:

8:00am A simple, said service of Holy Communion with a sermon.
9:30am A9C0Sung Eucharist – a service of Holy Communion with hymns, choral music, and a sermon. There’s Children’s Hour most Sundays in term time. See what happens.
Late morning The type of late morning service varies week by week but the usual pattern is:
1st Sunday: 11:00am Praise@11 – an informal service for all ages (find out more)
2nd Sunday: 11:15am Choral Mattins – a traditional choral service of Morning Prayer, lasting 30 minutes
3rd Sunday: 11:00am Toddle Up! A short and very informal service especially for toddlers and their families. (find out more)
4th Sunday: 11:15am Baptism service – all are welcome, even if you aren’t supporting a particular baptism candidate
Evening Evening services may vary on special occasions, but the usual pattern is:
2nd Sunday: 5:00pm All-in, our all-age service for everyone. This is followed at 5:45pm by Club Sandwich, a youth group for 7-10s.
3rd Sunday: 5:30pm Choral Evensong, a traditional service with Anglican choral music sung by the parish choir.

Regular weekday services:

10:00am Holy Eucharist (said) – This takes place in the Parish Room (entry through the door on the Church Street side of the Church).

Daily (Usually Monday to Thursday, phone or check weekly notes to be sure)
9:00am Morning Prayer – simple said prayers to start the day. If you can’t join us in church you can say Morning Prayer at home using the link below:
