Christmas 2020 was a Christmas unlike any other: for everyone, church included.
Very sadly we could not welcome the many local schools into church for nativity plays, carol services, and the like this year. But we were pleased to take part in online activities.
We held some small family services over Christmas, which ended with our outdoor Christmas tree. Our main all-age Crib Service was posted online on our Facebook page (where it can still be seen). Our choir sang carol services which were broadcast online, and reached a congregation spread all over the world. We held Midnight Mass in church, and prayed for our local community and all in the world suffering at this time.
For those not online, we have been keeping in touch with as many as we can by telephone and letter. Thanks to the generosity of donors we were able to support with cash and food parcels those in the community in particular need.
In short, we did what we were able to, in-person and online to keep our community together, support those in need, and celebrate the Christmas season.
