There are several services each Sunday, offering a variety of forms of worship. This page shows our usual monthly pattern, but if you are planning a visit please check the diary or phone ahead, as the pattern changes on special occasions.
Many of our services are traditional, accompanied by a fine organ and a robed choir. Others are much more informal, especially our two new services: St Mary’s Tots and St Mary’s for All. Everyone is welcome, whatever their religious background.
Our usual Sunday pattern:
|9:30am||Sung Eucharist – a service of Holy Communion with hymns, choral music, and a sermon. There’s Children’s Hour most Sundays in term time. See what happens.|
|Late morning||The type of late morning service varies week by week but the usual pattern is:
1st Sunday: 11:00am St Mary’s Tots – an informal service for all ages especially for toddlers and their families.
2nd Sunday: 11:15am Choral Mattins – a traditional choral service of Morning Prayer, lasting 30 minutes
3rd Sunday: 11:00am St Mary’s Tots – an informal service for all ages especially for toddlers and their families.
4th Sunday: 11:15am Morning Prayer and Baptism service – all are welcome, even if you aren’t supporting a particular baptism candidate
|Evening||Evening services may vary on special occasions, but the usual pattern is:
2nd Sunday: 4:00pm St Mary’s for All – a short and very informal service for all ages.
3rd Sunday: 5:30pm Choral Evensong – a traditional service with Anglican choral music sung by the parish choir.
Regular weekday services:
10:00am Holy Eucharist (said) – This takes place at the side altar in Church on the second Tuesday of each month.
